THE GREAT COMMISSION

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

This was the job or task that Jesus gave to all his followers and is the reason supporting missions both here and abroad is important to Trinity.

Trinity members Neil and Rachelle Kunnari started out on just such an adventure. They left  for Tanzania in early 2015 to minister alongside the local church, and to bring the gospel to distant places where it has not yet been heard. Please read their blog and learn how you can support them here.

Also a member, Naomi McClaine, is teaming up with Operation Mobilization to spread the Gospel in A Coruna Spain. She is focusing on work with youth and refugees. Here is a way to read about OM and how you can support Naomi.

In 1925, the Southern Baptist Convention established the Cooperative Program. The Cooperative Program enables all Southern Baptists to work together to support missions efforts worldwide through:

  • The International Mission Board:  Southern Baptists support approximately 5,600 missionaries who are engaging 655 people groups, of populations greater than 100,000, around the world.

  • The North American Mission Board: North American Mission Board:   Approximately 5,080 missionaries who are sent out to help start over 1,700 new churches.  NAMB also responds to national disasters through their Southern Baptist Disaster Relief organization.
